Water Colours

These are some of my first attempts at water colours . I very quickly realised I can never be any good at it , particularly as an artist friend , after a careful scrutiny of my efforts , said to me earnestly : " Don't quit your day job ." I'm truly grateful for her honest comment , which put everythings back into perspective.

    I don't think they're that bad. For me what I feel is more important and what I enjoy more is to appreciate what the message the painter wanted to get across, rather than how much skills were involved in making the painting

    Some men follow Rainbows I am told,
    some men search for Silver some for Gold,
    I have found the pleasure in my soul,
    my fellow,
    all I ever need is Hue !
    Just a joke.
    Thing is, watercolor is a volatile medium that is the hardest to control amongst others. Doubt if there are many who can master it upon the first attempts. Your patience is called for here, Doc !
