Diving in the Copper Sulphate sea

We dived in Nhatrang on the southern coast of Vietnam with the WWF in 94.

My wet suit was all in pink while my buddy's was all yellow, you can easily spot us by our bubbles.

The dives were a total wash-out, the dive sites were all sandy bottomed and the visibility was dreadful.

I noted with interest the visibility of the pool water in the hotel was equally poor , so I asked the hotelier why .

I don't know if he was having fun with me , but he told me they had purposefully put Copper Sulphate in the pool to make it murky, so that it'd match the water in the sea !

How did they ever win the war ?
