We dived in Manado, the northern-most island of Indonesia and the one closest to the Philippines, on account of this a lot of the people there are Catholics .
Manado is famous for the lobsters and the soft corals , but the current can be treacherous.
I myself was nearly sucked away by a ferocious down current which appeared suddenly from nowhere .
We stayed with Mary, her house is in the framed picture at the back.
The food was glorious , and our days were filled with just diving and eating .
It was Heaven on earth !
Little Mui , a nurse working in the Princess Margaret Hospital at that time , was the only non-diver among us ;
I can just imagine how bored she must have been but she was a good sport and stuck with us the whole time.
